Governor La Ganesan Praises Gopinath Muthukad’s Efforts in Inclusive India Bharat Yatra

Nagaland: The Governor of Nagaland, La Ganesan, commended the awareness program led by acclaimed magician Gopinath Muthukad, which aims to emphasize the importance of social inclusion for people with disabilities. The governor’s praise came during the Nagaland segment of Muthukad’s Bharat Yatra campaign, held on Saturday at the North East Institute of Social Sciences and Research (NEISSR) in Dimapur.

Governor Ganesan stressed that Indian society should support initiatives like Muthukad’s, which focus on improving the differently-abled community. He underscored the value of Muthukad’s dedication to this cause and noted that such efforts deserve acknowledgment. Following the event, Governor Ganesan personally congratulated Muthukad on stage and invited the team to Raj Bhavan for a reception set for Sunday.

The event at Bishop Abraham Memorial Hall included a keynote speech by State Disability Commissioner Detheono Nakro and featured artistic performances by differently abled individuals from NEISSR. The Bharat Yatra, which began on October 6 in Kanyakumari, is now making its way through the northeastern states and is approaching the one-month mark. So far, the campaign has been conducted in approximately 15 states and is expected to conclude in Delhi on World Disability Day, December 3.
